Fiddle-Dee-Fiddle-Dee-Dee
- a read aloud poem -
Marsupy’s a creature that came into
town singing,
“Hey there, fiddle-dee-dee.
"My babe’s in this pouch and I now need a couch
"Cause I’m tired and hungry, you see!”
“Hey there, fiddle-dee-dee.
"My babe’s in this pouch and I now need a couch
"Cause I’m tired and hungry, you see!”
When I asked this strange mammal,
“Friend, are you a camel, big horse or a strange-looking goat?” it said,
“Whoa there, my friend, are you blind as a bat or just a fat cat?
"Fiddle-dee-fiddle-dee-dee?”
“Friend, are you a camel, big horse or a strange-looking goat?” it said,
“Whoa there, my friend, are you blind as a bat or just a fat cat?
"Fiddle-dee-fiddle-dee-dee?”
Well, we talked back and forth the way new
friends do
And I learned something I had not known ...
Marsupials carry their young in a pouch feeling nary an ...
“OUCH ... hooray now! I see then! I see!"
And I learned something I had not known ...
Marsupials carry their young in a pouch feeling nary an ...
“OUCH ... hooray now! I see then! I see!"
“I know who you are!” I declared.
"You’re the gray kangaroo that I see in the zoo who chews on things NEW and sings
“Fiddle-dee-fiddle-dee-dee.”
Clunking toward me with eyes glazed in glee.
"I shall now have my dinner and know I’m winner (though I don’t get the couch)!" said she.
